Title: Impeller Nut
Post by: Nordie on February 03, 2011, 04:01:45 PM
You guys made it sound like a bitch...with some rod busting tools no freaking problem...a 15" cresent wrench attatched to a 3 prong hickey bar...a hickey bar is what i use at work to bend rebar...followed by a 2 foot flathead screwdriver to hold the flywheel...one little push and right off (https://www.socaljetboats.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2F184.72.239.143%2Fmu%2Fd0362731-41da-9b84.jpg&hash=76e924ac77d753a9f1f1d88cad6e322c2cec36b6)(https://www.socaljetboats.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2F184.72.239.143%2Fmu%2Fd0362731-41e3-cbbe.jpg&hash=f575ad37e809188b158e5a7469c6dde4bf78f212)

seems like an impact with an extension wouldve been a hell of a lot less work.

Fock the extension i would have needed a 5 or 6 inch deep socket...thanks for the suggestion, but an extension would have been deemed useless!

I know you got it off but for future buy a cheapo socket cut it and weld a piece of pipe in it. Took about 1/2 hour to make. Got it cheap at NAPA for 10 bucks.

I just made a deep socket to remove the impeller nut on my pump.

What does your impeller puller look like?

Dude, do you buy any tools?  LMAO.    Nice, I thought I was bad, I should get my camera out and show some of my "special tools"....

The coolest one I have seen (garage made) was an impeller nut socket/impeller puller combo, those Hoosiers are out of control. :sly:

Worked slicker than owl shit too...
