The Sea goin epoxy did not cure properly or something but it forsure had leaks again, made a huge mess, a ton of work removing it and im back to square one. Ive called every shop within a hundred miles with no luck.dont know what to do this thing will have to go into storage till someone will touch it, im out of options with this boat. Hopefully i can find something else to throw the fresh 12j &460 into in the meantime whenever that may be.

That sucks. Sorry to read that. Are you sure the leaks are coming from where the hull and intake meet? Could it be a leak in the intake itself or somewhere else? Was it leaking while just sitting in the water? Or did it just fill up when running?
When I first got my boat, I was getting water thrown out to the starboard side by the flywheel. After a few times out trying to find where the water was coming from, I found a crack and small hole in the engine block water jacket on the port side.

Thank god for GS marine!! The river trip is back on thanks to them, Cyclone was going to really hook me up too so big thanks to them, just couldnt bare the 2.5 hour drive from me to drop it off.

Yeah after a couple days letting it sit and cure i filled the bilge with water and it was running out the sides of the fins of the intake, so i drained and dried it all up and started inspecting the thick areas of epoxy i could see swiss cheese holes and it appeared to be slightly seperated from the hull.when i removed it i could really tell it hadnt adhered properly to the hull, I suspect i got a bunk batch of sea goin because it setup wayy faster then i expected (less then 30 min and i did it in the middle of the night at 75 degrees outside). A huge discouragement doing it my first time, but hopefully greg will let me hang around and watch when he does it.yea im socal, backside of perris area.

Strange about the epoxy.
I was just asking about location because I’m sure there’s gotta be some here in So Cal that could get you in and take care of it.

i had a feeling something wasnt right because when i went to mix it the catalyst was very hard and the color just didnt look right after mixed,date code was 8/20 so i thought it was good.yea me too I had been calling every shop but no one could schedule it till mid September the earliest.

I do have one question, I'm getting ready to install my intake, how much epoxy does it take for the install?

Thanks man yea it sucked, ive worked in wet lay up composites for 10 years but this jet boat shit is an art im still trying to get down hahah.until then it goes to GS for install and I have another throwaway blank hull im going to practice doing it on again in the winter. Well I cant say forsure but i bought the 1 pint base & 1 pint hardener package to do this one and it was just barely enough so ill probably be getting the next size up just to be safe which i think is 2 pint each not sure.
