Post by: jjpp250 on June 08, 2008, 12:33:56 PM
I bought a hondo yesterday and it has a jucuzzi 12wj pump. Are these pumps good. My of boat has a berk. and i dont know anything about jacuzzi. The tag says 12WJ-4033, any idea what the 4033 stands for?

The WJ is the better Jacuzzi pump available.  If your building a moderate power hot rod the WJ will be just as good as a Berkely.  If your going to build an extreme jet boat you'll invest a lot of money into the Jacuzzi because theres not as many aftermarket parts available.

Thanks, I know I'm going to need a diverter, but I need to see how much $$$$ I can afford to spent right now. I'll hook up JBP as soon as I can..

I was talking with Josh at JBP about diverters the other day and found out that JBP offers an adapter to install a Berkeley diverter on the WJ.

The diverter I have on mine is an older one that "leaks" water around the nozzle housing causing a spray coming back into the engine area (BBC = wet distributor  ).  According to Josh the newer diverters don't have that problem.

Tell you what, you buy mine and I'll buy a new one... How's,  say,  $500.00 for a well used, slightly faded WJ diverter  >:D

Not even to my own brother can I make such a deal! (in my worst Arab accent)  ;D

It's still attached to my boat and just got off the river a few hours ago.

As much as I would like to update to a newer diverter, it's gonna have to wait  :'(

Tom,

That first pic looks like just a spacer is used to adapt a Droop snoot to the Stock WJ bowl. Is this the case?

I have a WJ and am looking to go BIGGER on the Rooster!
