Ok so I'm new to the jet boat scene and I need to replace the thrust bearing on the WJ. I have no idea where to start the year down. Any suggestions? Also I am located in Chandler Az does anyone know where these parts are readily available?

Just did this last week...
Remove steer nozzle
Remove transom adapter. Be patient prying adapter from transom due to silicone. Use a hobby utility blade to cut silicone to allow you to pry adapter away from transom. Remove 8 bolts holding bowl to intake housing. Now you will see impeller. Remove set screws to remove nut. I was able to whack my nut 2 times with a large punch and hammer and it cam loose. Now use a jaw puller to GENTLY remove impeller. I used heat first: MAPP gas torch all around. Slowly but surely. Then remove seal retainer at input spline: 4 bolts. Then remove remaining 4 bolts for bearing retainer. If engine is out, you can now slide shaft forward and out. If engine is still installed, you are going to have to remove suction housing first, then shaft can come out. Should be about 2 to 3 hours while enjoying some brewskis.... am i missing anything Dan'l (Mash On It)

If you have a thrust bearing issue, make sure to inspect the inside of the housing at the leading edge of the impeller. They like to move forward and cut into the housing. If it's not too bad, Seagoing epoxy is your friend.

That 460 might have more issues than a missing core plug. Looks like it went thru a hard freeze. Check that out first.

Sweet guys thanks for the insight! I'm gonna start on the pump today. I've already ordered the rebuild kit and it's on the way. The 460 is running pretty well for now. My plan is to rebuild the pump put it all back together and take it out for a test run prior to dragging it all the way to Laughlin!!
