Title: Jacuzzi YJ pump
Post by: Chester on October 23, 2015, 10:17:58 AM
New to Socaljet. I have restored a 1975 sleek craft sportster. It came with a YJ pump that is completely worn out. My question is, should I spend the money to rebuild it or change it over with an energizer kit??

Welcome! And let's see pics. What info can you provide us on the boat?

Recommendations for pump set up is going to depend on what you want to do with the boat.  If you like the boat as a cool family cruiser and don't really care about increasing performance beyond where you are now, I'd recommend just rebuild the YJ as it is.  If you are planning on upping the performance and want the adjustability of adding a droop snoot or Place diverter, you'll want to invest in the Energizer kit.
