currently I have a Jacuzzi YJ with an energizer kit on it and it is blown to hell and is going to cost me around a grand to fix it my question is should I rebuild the Jacuzzi or glass the boat and put a Berkeley in it, my father in law is a 30+ year pro hot rod/body guy and is great with fiberglass and will glass the boat for me for free just wanted some opinions seems like Berkeley is the way to go and even if I rebuild the Jacuzzi it wont get much better. thanks for the help.

It'll all come down to how much you like the hull you have. The YJ intake is larger than the Berk so (as stated) you will have to glass in the bottom and start over for the intake. I don't know if you will have to do anything with the transom opening.
If you don't have any emotional attachment to the hull, I'd get it ready to sell and start looking for another that already has the Berk you want ready to go.

Whats wrong with the Jacuzzi/Energizer set-up? Even if you replaced the bowl, impeller/wear ring and front bearing, it shouldn't run ya a grand. performance wise I don't think an 'all Berk' set-up would be any better, just more expensive. the back half of that pump is already 'Berkeleyized". We need to see some pics of the carnage to make an informed decision.
What hull do you have?

Exactly. What would be the point? I sport an energized YJ on my Charger, and for the most part, it IS a Berk with a wider intake....... ;)

I will post some picks im new to jet boasts and that's why I'm looking to you guys for your opinion after your help I'm gonna probably stick with the jacuzzi i was just under the impression jacuzzi was bad. I do have to get an impeller, wear ring, and bearing the bad part is i have to get a new insert that makes the energizer kit accept an impeller. Thanks for your help
