water leak

So after a drive my transom has a decent amount of water in it up to the top of the stringers. I dunno where its coming from exactly.

My first question would be that at idle some water spray out of the weep holes on the headers....should that happen, I have the t-valve?? maybe take apart and clean it?

But there is no other visible leak. Its a Dominator jet. Just sitting it the water it leaks as well just not as bad as when i'm driving, dont like the bilge running too much.

This may sound crazy but here is how to find a leak. With the boat on the trailer, add water to the bilge and then look and see where the water is coming out of. Could be the transome adapter gasket and or bowl gasket. My boat did the same thing last year. Added water to the bilge and found the transome adapter bolts needed a little snugging.

I'd also take a look at the packing seals.

Check to make sure all your hose clamps are tight and there is no small holes in any of the hoses going to the motor from the pump.
And check your handhole cover o-ring.

If your header "t" is worknig properly and your water is adjusted right your headers should "dry out' after a short time of idling ,call if I can help you with this , RE the water leaks The most likely leak sites are the intake (epoxy) , the transom adaptor gasket and oring seal and the steer tube seal/bushing . Generally if the HH cover and or the packings are leaking heavily you'll have some performance issues as well as they are on the suction side of the pump as mentioned the best way to find a lower elevation leak in a boat is to put water in the bilge and observe if we can help with tech don't hesistate to call Tom

turned out to be a leak from a crack in the hull, got a post in the hull forum
