Hey guys I’m trying to install this loader and am having a few problems.
I shaved of a little at the rear because it was hitting the intake before the bolts were sucked down tight. It clears back there, but now it’s pretty snug right behind the rear bolts. Can I take a little off the intake in that area to gain a little clearance?
Also the loader is about 3/4” below keel at the leading edge and 1/2” at the trailing edge. Should I leave it? Or trim it?

I would not modify the intake to fit the loader. If you grind on vertical parts of the loader, make sure you grind large generous radii and polish out any gouges that will form a stress riser. The area of the vertical parts, just behind the loader pad, is the most stressed. That is where cracks will form.
If you don't have a shoe, you want a little more aggressive (below keel) loader. Tuning a loader is like tuning anything else. You want to find the best compromise between impeller load and drag.
I don't understand what you mean regarding the trailing edges. Please clarify.
Cheers,
Joe
