Jet plumbing questions
« on: August 03, 2008, 10:13:18 PM »
I am trying to finish up my project and I can't figure out the plumbing for the jet.  I am running a 12JC pump and a BBC with Nicson through transom exhaust.  I read a previous thread http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?topic=4220.0 and the pic from luckie stiff helps but would I do something different for through transom exhaust?  Please help.

Thanks,
Rob

If you're using the log manifolds than yes you need to do it differently.  Here's the diagram for the log manifolds.  If you have through transom headers that's a little different again.  Hope this helps.  ;D

Brian,

TT's hook up the same basic way as OT's, with the exception being this:

Instead of having an overboard dump like you do on OT's, you take that water and send it to the TT's @ the bung located near the hoses, split it with a TEE and send one line to each header.

I'm not sure (I dont have TTs) but are you talking about something like this Skip.  Let me know so I can change it if its wrong.

Blue lines are water from the pump to the motor, and red lines are from the T stat out to the headers.
