I have an E pump. I was told by Jack at MPD that it is a descent pump. It's not going to win any races but for cruising its fine. It used to push my boat to 64 MPH before the engine blew up. It doesn't have a split bowl, so droops are not an easy option. The hand hole on the outside makes it easier to get to. It bolts directly to the transom so no need for a transom adapter. To own or not to own really depends on what you are trying to do with your boat.

Skee , its a decent peice and can be made to work very well with moderate HP and a little "pump magic" Tom

I have the same question, Tom, I'm just about to drop in 500 or so HP on mine, in the Sleekcraft Rebel, do I need to send IT to you along with the JC from the Saguaro (which I STILL haven't shipped, Sorry, working on that!, the Rebel just has me so DAMN sidetracked, I feel like 2Sav must feel :banghead:) to keep from shredding it? lol ???

Gotta tell you though, the JE is MUCH cleaner looking than the others :-X. All the cables low and in a line, more of a set back configuration.  On the outside would seem more efficient, but what the hell do I know??? All these advances we have today in engine technology and the old '62-64 Mopar Max Wedges can STILL hold their own 45 years later so......... :screwy:

OK I'm only a little confused (might be the keystones) , since the E and CG etc wont all directly swap which setup do you want to end up with in what boat and what has what currently ? refresh me ? Tom

lol it's quite ok, the Corona's have their hand on me too, don't worry little bunny!. The Rebel has the JE pump, the Saguaro (Yellow Submarine) had the recently removed JC pump. The engine project had started long before the Rebel came along, and is a far quicker prospect for the engine. That is, until yet another project finds its way into my yard, Gawd this is awful, I can't even keep track MYSELF!!! I dunno how 2sav does it. Maybe I need his organizational skills.

Anyway, the Rebel had the engine rebuilt, and the pump, and went from logs to OT headers, (where the headers I was buying then turned into the wole boat). The Moron who did the work, apparently, simply plumbed all the exit water from the engine through the headers with no overboard dump. Well guess what, 20 minutes into maiden voyage with new driveline, and BANG. I end up with another boat, long and short of it.

Still not clear, I know, the REBEL is keeping the JE, and the JC is going back into the Saguaro after I get it back from you.
