I'm new to the Jet Boat life. Well I got a 19' 79 charger with a olds 350 rocket and a Berkeley 12JEBA. I took the boat out one time last year when I got it everything went well . I was prepping the boat two weeks ago to get it ready for the summer this year. I was looking around the boat and saw that the jet was leaking gear oil. Do I have to rebuild the whole jet or can I just change out the O rings or gaskets to fix this. Here are some pictures.

Here are some before and after pictures. The gelcoat was bad when I got it but I used polyglow and it made it look awesome.

Hold on the professionals will be along shortly. ..
I would say that you either have a bowl bearing that went bad or the bowl mite have a crack somewhere . Either way your going to have to take it apart and see . So if you haven't had it rebuilt or have a receipt of it being rebuilt now mite be the time to think about a rebuild.

You have the bowl off, throw new bushings in it and a new seal. How's the tail end of the shaft look?

@Jetjunky101 thank you.
@Ibhsb2 no the bowl is still on I will be taking it off this weekend and going through the whole jet. Well is it hard to do I have worked on cars and truck but never on a boat or jet dose the motor have to com out to take of the jet ?
