Need some help my buddy picked up a boat and it has a hydraulic diverted on it it works but does not stay in the up position it slowly comes back down I don't see know leaks what do I look for thanks

It's bleeding back through either the ram or pump.

I'd replace the ram. I had the same thing happen to me.

replace the ram, if not the ram then replace the pump. then your system is fresh
