Title: Loaders
Post by: KonaCole on July 29, 2008, 12:41:56 PM
I know that this topic has been discussed greatly and that each boat is unique to the type of loader to use,  so I am looking for MPH and total performance increase that people are experiencing going from stock grate to different types of loaders.  Some guys are advertising 5 to 7 MPH gain over stock, are you guys seeing these #s?

Thanks,
Cole

IMHO, the only way to see those kinds of numbers from a loader is to have a spooky light rig. The loaders we have played around with have never really made a $100 dollar difference on top end alone, but do seem to always load the pump better in terms of harder to cavitate, on a light aluminum tunnel the difference was astounding, on our Specra 20, didn't do a damn thing (super exotic loader on the tunnel, run of the mill on the DC), see if you can "borrow" three or four different style loaders and have a test and tune day, always worked for me...If you have a 12J Berkeley I have two different loaders sitting here as "testers" one is out of a race hull and will all but erase out of the hole performance, but once on plane you can't ventilate it unless you get airborn...
