Pump disassembly

What tips or tricks you got for getting the bowl separated from the housing? I used clear silicone to seal it about a month ago.

I once tried to NOT have a good time. It just didn't work out!

Use an xacto knife or razor blade

Tried the razor blade, there is not enough clearance to get in there.

Here is what worked for me:
First, let me say I am working on a Jacuzzi WJ.

I threaded 4 bolts almost all the way down. Then I used a large brass punch and hammered on the heads of the bolts. Not full force. It took about 10 cycles of hitting all bolts. It moved just enough to create a gap to insert a small flat screwdriver so I could use another flat screwdriver to pry it loose. Patience is important. It pried it all the way around little by little. Took about 15 min. This is with the housing still installed in the boat.
