Well at least a little ;)
Pump was making a growl noise the last couple trips out so...
Out it comes.
-
What do you mean I didn't have to pull the intake housing? :banghead:
-
WTH Keith :o Didn't know ya had to take the intake out to fix a growl :screwy: Did ya have a leak ???
-
Both fins on the intake were busted up pretty bad so I decided to pull it out and fix it while the pump was out.
-
Thought maybe we needed to send the guys with the white jackets over to your house :screwy: Did you have a hard time getting the intake out ???
-
Only took a little while ::)
About 4 hours :screwy:
-
ok since you have already lost your mind :screwy: put a berk in it :-\
-
Uhhh . . . hate to be the one to tell you but, you didn't need to pull the motor out either. ;D

Ssshhhhhh, I'm trying to convince the driver that it needs more power.
I had authorization for a few upgrades until she came back down from her pain medicated happy. :'(

Is yours the delta bottom too? I ended up putting a round radius intake into the Hondo so I could go to the round bottom.... not sure how much of a difference it makes, it was an ass dragger with the flat bottom thou.
For a few bucks you could piece together a Berk

So whats the plan Keith gonna trick out the WJ or go for the "Sex change" ???

Still weighing my options.
The original intake is for a flat keel (delta pad), I have an intake for a rounded keel (thanks Ray) that I could install but I don't know if I'm ready to rebuild the bottom yet.
I've thought about getting a Berk for it but I haven't tripped over any in the standard SCJB price range ;D
-
One thing i know for sure is, the driver of that boat isnt gonna be happy if there is excess down time...

She is already on my ass about when it will be done ;)

Shouldn't be a lot of work to put in the other intake. But yeah, you are THIS far down, a Berk would sure be nice! ;D

It took me 2 days to set the intake and build the bottom to a round keel, on my back under the boat ;D Kinda wish I flipped it though.

I am seriously considering flipping the boat and working the bottom. It has several deep scratches that need repair and the places where the original fuel tank mounts were located are still a little out of shape after being repaired on my back (not fun).
