leaky pump
« on: October 07, 2015, 08:27:48 PM »
Hey guys and Girls, I just picked up a 94 advantage with a American Turbine jet. I notice while we had it out this weekend there was water in the bilge so Ichecked it out closer and noticed that the water was coming in where the drive shaft connects to the Jet, assuming this is the Bering housing for the drive shaft? Its a bit different than the old Berkley set up I'm used to. Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated. I know a little water is always expectable but this is not a drip, its a steady flow.

Just found this online. AT makes a couple of different style of pumps.

Is it leaking from the packing gland area, where the collar and 2 bolts are for tightening the packing?
The SD models talk about a weep hole.
Can you get a picture of it?
