Title: my never ending need for more speed
Post by: surfaholic on July 09, 2012, 06:35:26 PM
well i was able to get my boat out to the lake this weekend with my new to me nozzle thanks to jim brock and it worked great, i noticed a much harder pull from 3 to 5k and was able to top out at 5400rpm with just me and the gf  ;D i had no idea it would make that much of a difference and it really got me thinking what else can i do to my pump?? the impeller looks too good to change but i have read that bowl suffers, and intake loaders can make a big difference, is there a standard loader i should start with?? i am more than willing to cut and weld to reach peak performance i just dont know where to start, i know most of you are light years ahead of me and i would appreciate any advice, also when i took my bowl apart i noticed the veins were rather rounded do u think filling them to a sharp tip would help with water flow or would that be a waste of time.

Show us the boat. The Supersport style loader works on most applications. Mine makes a difference. Make sure you install it properly! Doesn't cost much. I was looking into bowl prep, but I bought a JBP Agreesor 9 vane bowl that came with a bowl stuffer. Huge difference if you wanna spend $$$
