Thats a nice boat

That's a clean boat, been for sale for a few months I believe. All the black that thing is going to get super hot. I don't know about 80, but if he has put as much money as he did into looks I'd assume he as done some work to the motor too. Those are all around good boats, solid and well used for the river.
Check normal stuff like the bulk head, any wood rot, or cracks in the paint (because I'm pretty sure it's not the original gel coat), others will chime in with more things.

check the stringers, also compression test the motor and listen to it run, pull the hand hole cover off and grab the shaft,to see if it has play

o ya most important, make sure it floats. a test drive never hurts and hold that throttle down to see if the seller gets scared,if i sold my boat i would let you drive the piss out of it like i do,just to show you there is nothing wrong with it

x2 but your going to spend a grip more. Hopefully your not married. If its cherry, not a bad price but look over everything.

The interior is new, the brown color is a little off shade but it's new. The pump is in good shape with a loader. It's a full stringer boat. The gel coat is all original root beer metal flake and cream. The gel looks perfect. The transom has never been cut. The boat has never been cut. The headers are Bassett and look brand new.

I believe the boat ran in the low 70's. Here is another pic I had on my phone

That boat LOOKs way cool, but I'll tell ya right now if the wife or kids touch it in the summertime yer gonna hear about it. I got just a dark blue band around mine and it gets hotter n a muther bear. Ya gotta splash water on it before you can get it the boat.

I've always had a weak spot for that brown with cream root beer colors... I wish my life would be okay with having a boat like that! It's a super clean float.

That Hallett is going to be real solid and can take some good abuse, it will never be a very fast boat but it will put up some respectable numbers if that's what you're looking for. This is a nice boat, great original gel from the 70's you won't be disappointed.

I like the glencoe it would be better with a berk but the hull is awesome
-
The glencoe hull is really good. It's only a 1/4 stringer boat but feels like a full stringer, nice and solid. The damn boat rides so smooth too, the bottom design allows the boat to really cut thru the chop.
-
what does he want for the glencoe my buddy is looking for a new boat
-
$5000 obo. I have some video on YouTube. They are under my channel. Bigbrosiff
-
cool thanks I will let him know

the glencoe looks like a somewhat deep v hull for its size. should be a pretty nice parker/havazoo boat for sure.

is this the same glencoe?
