Title: No water flow after pump rebuild
Post by: green250 on September 03, 2013, 07:45:49 PM
Just got my jetaway and pump rebuilt. Tried launching this weekend and was not getting any water out of my pump or circulating through the motor. Heard of air or air bubbles in the bowl because of a not deep or steep enough ramp. Anyone heard of this? Was told that i may need to burp it, open reverse bucket and or just let it sit there until water starts circulating. This sound right? Its never happened before.

try hooking up a hose to the inside and turning the water on and see if it comes out of the bowl/nozzle.  if not theres a blockage in the tube.

did the boat move forward at all?  if u have enough pressure to move a boat u have enough pressure to cool a motor.

No movement at all. I opened the reverse bucket with motor on and felt nothing coming out

If you are running a droop it's very common to get an air lock.

I know it sounds stupid but is the Jet A Way in the engaged postion?
I used to back into the water with the reverse bucket in the open (forward) position.
Common droop problem.
