I had some engine work done to my 1976 Hallett jet boat last week.
I took it out to pudding stone this morning for testing and after a couple passes the nozzle cover on the berk would go closed putting it into reverse. I had to hold lever forward.
Adjustment maybe?

Put a new cable on from it snapping and now lever jumps back and forth about an inch. I have to keep my knee pushing it forward. I'm going with mines not adjusted right. Could be the problem

Thanks, I think you are right.
Do you know how the adjustment is made?
From lever or pump?
