Title: nozzle inserts

Was just curious... do nozzle inserts make much of a difference? I have a droop amd diverter on my boat. Would there be much of an advantage if any to getting one?

It plays with nozzle velocity. If the boat is light and dialed in enough, it can make a difference in top speed.

You will likely lose a bit of out of the hole punch.

Also, your diverter will need to be machined to accept a nozzle insert.
