Thanks, Its actually an E, converted to a split bowl. Would it be the same as a G?
An 'E' pump would be even easier to pull, no transom adapter to pull, and fix/replace that rear seal.
As far as running on the trailer, the impeller is .012 away from the wear ring, too close to run on the trailer in my opinion. After I rebuilt mine, I greased the wear ring to fire it for 10-15 seconds, then off to the lake. (after ~200 hours, W/R to impeller was .035"+ per side) I've also seen how much crap that the pump stirs up at the launch ramp, is that any better than a dry or on the trailer start? I think so...
