Taking some water in

What is a good product I could use to seal up a gap I have from the bottom of the jet going through the back of boat? I notice I was taking some water in and found where that is I grabbed some 3m adhesive sealant and threw some on let dry for about a week and when I took out this weekend to test it peeled right off..and suggestions on what doing wrong or better product?

Sea goin poxy putty is what you are looking for McMaster Carr carries it ask for marine epoxy

If it's leaking around the transom cover you need to pull it off and clean it thoroughly, then install with good silicone sealant.

Again, if it's the transom cover you do NOT want to use epoxy.

Post some pics of the area you are talking about so we can make sure you're on the right track.

just like crew chief said, if the transom adaptor is leaking get all the old stuff out and clean the hell out of it amd use a good silicone clear. Just got done doi by the same thing to my dad's boat and bought the silicone at home depo. Good luck let us know how it turns out
