Title: Place deverter Hydraulic pump oil?
Post by: PEVCO on August 19, 2014, 03:21:09 AM
I need to add Hydraulic oil to the Place deverter pump reservoir .
What is the best way and what type oil to use?
The reservoir is tucked back on the inside transom so I can't see where to fill the oil.

Once you pop the smoke color cover off there is a small filler hole to fill the resi. If I'm not mistaken ur suppose to use atf. Ur gonna need a small funnel so u don't get fluid all over cause its a biotch hahahaha

Tim over at place diverter says to pull it out and fill with Auto Trans Fluid or ATF for short, but that was also cause mine was easily accessible and able to be pulled out. If it's mounted at an angle though try and keep it at that angle when filling so you don't over fill.

The 1/4" hose and a funnel worked just fine.
Thanks for the help.
