place diverter buttons
« on: April 16, 2019, 04:04:19 PM »
Does anyone know why my place diverter buttons would shock me when I push either up or down buttons? I was told it was a grounding issue so I went straight to the engine block but no luck. The guys at place diverter tell me to run a power wire to the battery instead of the ignition switch but that is a pain in the ass on my boat and I cant understand how that would make a difference although electrical is not my thing. Just curious if anyone has heard of this and what the solution was.

What switch do u have ??? The toggle one ??? Check the back of the switch to make sure non of the hot wires are touching the case . Have seen this before . If not then u need to change the switch out . The older switch has a orange wire in the middle and is used as a bridge wire . The newer ones have a screw that is used as a bridge .
