I have a Rooster Booster in almost new condition. Who has run one and what did you think? Also what is it worth??

I am running the same HP as you are. I have been told these are the real deal for high HP setups. It bends the water way less than a droop and some boats respond very well to them. BAE557 with is up to like 160mph on Nitro runs the same thing.

I think the pump, all of it, has to match the rest of the set-up. Cyclone's boat doesn't have a Rooster Booster or a droop, it's all about making it all match.

What BAE 557 told me, from my memory    , was that the droop snoot had too much drag for his particular hull, and the droop snoot's angle is like ? 7 degree's up which was too much for his hull also. He said his boat likes to ride at ? 2 1/2 degree's and with the Rooster Booster's ? 3 1/2 degree it was close enough to what he wanted to do with his hull. He has a lot of effort into his boat.

I'm running    it because I think it looks cool. 

Think of it as a tuning tool . It does the same thing as a droop or diverter aimed up a notch . Only thing is that this thing has a smoother transition from one angle to another . One thing I've always been told is that when someone gets there hardware dialed in , it's dialed in to there hull and the amount of hook , rocker , or straightening work the bottom has done to it . Identical hardware will not always work on identical hulls . Depending on the type of conditions your boat will be used in is another determining factor , lake , river , drag , circle whatever . Set it up for that . I've never seen William's (BAE) boat run . I can only imagine with the HP he has it probably runs on the intake and center pod . A lesser HPed hull that has never had the bottom looked at or reworked completely to accomodate thousands of HP and 10K RPM would more than likely be more efficiant with a diffrent set-up .

Is it any good ? Like with just about any other piece of jet boat hardware , you have to run it to find out . Dont forget your GPS either . Go to the drags and see how many boats there have them . IMO , it's a big ass over priced wedge for the common lake and river racer .  It's a tuning tool , if your boat does what you want it to . Run it .

As a side note , this post took me about 20 min. and handful of beers sooooooo.

A wise old jet boat racer friend of mine said they are JUNK, pretty much only good for hosing down the bridge at Needles. But he could be wrong................................
