So I noticed a piece of plastic sticking out of my diverter knuckle. Thinking it was just a piece of trash I started yanking on it. Damn thing would not come out. Then I take the diverter apart to find where an o-ring should be, but instead I have a torn up straw. Come to find out there is an o-ring for that and promptly called JBP. It was here the next fricking day! Thanks Josh.
So does it matter where the split goes? Top, bottom?
Thanks again.

On the side, adjacent to one of the pivot pin holes. Less movement in that area, so less likelyhood of pulling it apart.
