Boat popped out of the water and reved to 1050 rpm, then when hit back in the water the intake bolts came loose started leaking water bad and one bolt fell out out, also some minor spider crack around the bottom of the hull where the intake is mounted to the hull. should I just reset the pump or just tightin the bolts back ans glass up the small cracks. The pump was built by greg shoemacher and gs marine. it been set back already. would'nt mind getting the hand hole cover on the other side of the transome, but thats probley big bucks. what should I do? Its a 1000 hp bbc with a built pump.

Sounds to me like two things happened. (1) hull flexed when it hit the water. i.e. hull too thin and /or (2) pump was not supported properly and tried to twst itself out of the boat when it hit the water.
Ether way fix should be done to the extreme if your horsepower and pump location is as said.
Pull the intake out grind out the delaminations (you said spiderwebs but I bet ya it's worse than gel coat cracks) and reinforce the hull. check with a good glass man to make sure you have enough thickness and area. reinstall the intake using good aircraft quality stainless fasteners (nothing from Home Depot) and sea going epoxy putty.
For the pump, brace the front of the intake out to the stringers and brace the suction piece from the bowl flange ether to the stringers or to the tranom if your transom is like glass over 1.5" plywood. Again using Aircraft quality hardware and stringer washers.
Alot of HP and no support breeds breakage at very unoportune times. Consider yourself very lucky you didn't lose the whole boat. I got a feeling you were within micro seconds of having the entire pump departing company and sinking faster than you coulld say UUUUG...

Depending on exactly how and how much the jet was set back it would be simple to move it further (if practicle and appropriate for the boat and the set-up as not all boats in all circumstances want a setback ) re the fact that your intake actually came loose from the hull given the fact that setbacks typically end up with less "attaching" surface area than a standard intake set I'm not completely surprized , but a good solid bond there should have lasted for a very long time, as said the proper way to fix this is to pull and reset the intake entirely I will say the company we have all depended on for years for epoxy has had some issues recently in their formulation and we recently encountered a boat from norcal that had an intake reset where the epoxy never totally cured. The spider cracks you described are likley easily ground back and repaired during the reset process feel free to call Josh or myself if we can help Tom
