Title: Pump Question

I always wondered why pumps like this have these cover looking things on them.  Is it literally just to cover them?  To sit on?  I know not for performance.  Can you run a Diverter or Jetovator with it?  Just a Panther thing?  Am I thinking too much about this?  :D

just a panther thing....no purpose other than an accessory cover.

LOL!! One of the main reasons I have found, is so you dont fill the back of your boat with water when using reverse!  :o

So by "ugly" you actually mean "super awesome"?!?!?!   ;)

I'll have to do some research on this site to see if Panther is worth a damn pump wise.
