Ok I put a Inducer in my pump. In order to help my "take off " . I was having slipping problem from a dead stop but the inducer helped a little . But still has some slip..
Would this be a Loader problem or ?

Walk me through what you see on the tach.

Ive talked to some of the higher hp guys, and was told when they launch itll still slip past the WOT rpm just a tiny bit then come down quickly

Dont claim to be a big hp guy, but mine slips when I WOT from a dig and bounce the limiter. Have to work the throttle. Plus the aluminum impeller probably dont like it much anyway.

I looked, didnt see much. What do you want me to look for next? Less hp? Fords are too powerful?

Why is it that there are so many boats/pumps doing this? (Steve's, Fordlover's and 69Kona), And mine doesn't?
~500hp 454, AA American Turbine impeller, alum. in a JC pump, with diverter and rideplate/shoe and loader.
Top end 4900-4950 r's, and out of the hole 5050 to 5100, maybe. Because its a heavy ass daycruiser?
There was a difference between the Berk 2A ant the AT 'AA' of ~100 rpm (now its lower) The Berk impy definitely slipped some, out of the hole. The wear ring was at .090" (.045 a side) on the Berk impy. The AT is at .024" (.012" a side, or was in Jan. of '14)

If i remember right, Dennis said his slips by a few hundred rpm then comes down. it wasnt as much as mine slips but it was still some

Leave it alone.
The pump isn't loading until the hull moves forward.
Your engine package is making too much hp in the mid level, the curve is likely skewed for pulling a gear, you might see what it does with another couple more degrees of cam timing.

I bet of you look at it, your hp/torque curve is more linear. Makes the most hp near the top of the rpm scale.
Just a hunch.

I am not convinced you haave an issue.
HAve to remember, you have a bottom that wasnt exactly built for speed (like mine) and the boats heavy...
These other guys you see launching out of the hole are 4-700 pound boats.... Takes a lot less effort to move that than ours
A few hundred rpm on the hit. I think thats pretty much expected.

We have launch control on the race boat for about 1 second or so off the hit to help with the slip. You should expect at least 200 rpm slip on the hit, more on the spray.

Its an interesting theory... drop the powerband down to make power earlier. May not cause it to slip as hard...
I tried to advance my cam timing, but ran out of PTV

No jet expert but leave it alone. My boat runs right at 6100 on motor and full stab from a dig it will hit 6400 then settle back down within a second. Like GT said pump isn't loaded at idle.

If your normal rpm was 5200 and you where launching and it's hitting 7 then I would worry but not a few hundred rpm

That was me before.... Normal RPM 5000 or so... it would bounce the rev limiter (7800) until i let off the throttle... Sounds wicked tho

Actually no, its hit that a few times. I have a pretty healthy valvetrain and held the bottom together with ARP hardware.
When i researched my cam in a car, they recommend shifting at 7800...
I set it that high because i didnt know how high it would pull on the bottle. Got to lazy to drop it down since then

Cool I wasn't really sure if it is normal or not ... So anything around 400 rpm is normal ..?

I put my cam straight up ... 2 degrees advanced? Is this what your getting at ?

advancing the cam should "lower" the powerband. But will tighten the exhaust ptv clearance if i remember right

i'll lean to GT for this one, but it would be worth trying.
Your cam isnt huge though, so i dont think it would make a huge difference
