There is/was a complete 12JC on eBay and the last time I looked at it, it was at $600.

Split up and sold piece by piece on eBay it's worth about $475.

Those prices are for aluminum impellor, if it has a stainless the price would go up ~$300 - 350.

I cant believe that a 12JC pump is going for that much.

I just saw a complete 12JG pump go for $271 a few weeks ago......12JG being the more saught after package.

I know, something's fishy about that 12JC and it's current bid (if it hasn't ended yet).

Wow that is a good deal. I would definetly get it if my berk boat was a little smaller or my small boat didn't have a Jacuzzi!

If you eBay, $120 for 3 sets will get you a lot of profit.

One set is 454 chevy
and two sets are olds.
Dose that make any difference?

Depending on condition, OLds logs and snails will get you $80-$120 and Chevy will get you $175-+++. A Chevy set sold on eBay about a week ago for $365.

excuse me 12JB-A
Title: Re: Question? Please answer
Post by: Brad @ SCJB on August 20, 2007, 03:24:22 PM
no, its not set up for a shoe/rideplate....it would be milled down on the tailing edge of the bottom side.

how about a pic inside the suction housing showing that stainless impeller?

12jb is the same as a 12jg....split bowl pumps are nice if youre lookin to go with a droop or put wedges in it....

nice find.

cool. Seems to feel real tight. spins freely no sounds or restrictions. I have two options on where to put it! I have a 21ft daycuiser with a Drake pump on it now and I have a 16ft Avenger that I wanna build to play with. Cant decide wgich way to go

I've known folks who bite their finger nails, but toe nails?  ;D

If you get the other stuff from this guy and profit good, remember to throw a contribution to SCJB's.

Looks SS to me . The aluminum one's generally have a green hard anodizing on them or some other color. Thats the way both of mine look .

Title: Re: Question? Please answer

so its obviously SS which from what I read is a REAL score cause those are EXPENSIVE!

I didnt think a magnet would attract to SS  ???

A new SS is easily a 1k . That is a score ! I found a new SS impellor at the pomona swapmeet with the matching wear ring for $100 and that was a score.

Stainless steel is ferrous to a point, so a magnet will lightly stick to it. Aluminum and bronze will not attract a magnet at all. I did see an aluminum impellor look a similar color before but it had some damage on the egdes and was very worn. Typically a used ss impellor will bring $350 - $450 on eBay and sellers generally price them around $500 at swap meets, that I've seen.

It's SS yall had me curious so I took it to a friend who works with Stainless in athe tech industry. He said no doubt. SO now to decide what to put the pump in. Anyone have a guess how different the Drake and the Berkley are? I mean how major is it to swap those out?
