So I need a little help and input. What angel should the ride plate be adjusted to? Should there be any angel up or down our straight out? Hers Wyatt my boat is doing when you get up in the higher rpms and mph the boat is up and down like if it is on a set of whoops, it feels like the boat is fighting out self like it wants to ride up on the water but the bow odds being shoved down in the water. It also as no place diverter it's is a Berkley pump JC bowl. Thanks for any help and input.

You should start at about 3° up angle. Not angel. .. Angeles have wings. Ride plates, not so much..

If the boat is proposing, you either are trying to fly too much boat, have too much plate, too much trim, or simply not enough hp.
My recommendation is start at 3° up from flat and see what it does. Bring a notebook and make small, single changes until you start going in the right direction.

Thanks GT that sounds great I went the wrong direction and there is definitely room for hp up grade she has a 455old's witch I'm guessing is pretty mild the plate on the motor says 395 hp

what mfg. hull do you have? where is your fuel tank located? have/can you put a 6' straight edge on the keel to see what shape the hull bottom is? what kind of ride plate do you have? Can you post pics? your boat has a balance issue, it doesn't have enough h.p. to carry the weight of the un-wetted hull. can you move/remove weight from the boat? (bow area) if the boat is porpoising now how will a ride plate with up angle stop it? It may slow or limit how high it raises before it falls back into the water some but I doubt it will stop it. I would start with the plate even (straight) with the keel and see how it responds and then make adjustments, up/dn accordingly. I'm not far down the road from you if you would like some assistance at some point. good luck, hope this is helpful to ya.

Bolted up you'll be around 2 up from keel. I lengthened my plate by 1 1/2" an have it set at 3* up. I have a few thin adjustment tabs for the plate to cradle if your interested. In both 1/16 an 1/8. I used a 3/4 block to get 3. This cleaned up a porpoise issue an I have a belly tank an hull has rocker. I have the bolt on shoe/plate not the removed intake an machined one but worked out incredible for the cost. Lengthening the exit with a snoot/longer bowl also was a great help in my combo...

Plate needs to go up... Seems counter intuitive, but pretty sure you will end up near 3° up.
