got my boat with no ride plate. Berkeley pump set back a few inches so the cover hole is right under the fiberglass (transom). is a ride plate needed that bad?

If there's no shoe on it there's why. If there's a shoe I would get one made.

I have a shoe on it. I'm not lookin to do 100 right off the bad, for test and tune just 75

The ride plate is going to help because it makes your boat think that it's longer and it will help handle better at speed
