I discovered no lube in cone area. So I tore it down a bit.  I don't know what the part name  is called that I need.  This is a 14' rinker   Any help is appreciated.  A schematic or a good place to buy parts.  The reason for looking at pump was to find out why it wouldn't go fast anymore.  The guy said it  was like it was half as fast yet engine ran good.   Wear ring is wore a little with a small groove in it but looks to be tight clearance.   Noticed ride plate is tipped and not sitting flush. I researched a little and this this is the loss of high speed.

Hmm. Not too much help on this site so far.  I'll continue to fish away.

Can you measure the clearance between the impeller and wear ring?  That's what I am betting on, assuming there is no damage to the impeller and stator vanes.  What kind of pump is that?  Where are you located?

I have never heard of that type of pump.

Wear ring tolerances are critical in a jet pump. Berks run @ .012"

Glenn, (GT Jets) has probably seen one, repaired one, and might have spare parts...

Patients, my friend.

And welcome to the forum.

I believe it's from a rinker mini jet boat. I think they had the mercury sport jet engine/pump combo. It's an outboard engine mounted inboard.

Thanks for replying ya'll.    I think I'll try to surface coat the wear ring with something just to fill in a groove wore into it.  Waiting on bushings and seals for pump cone thingy ding.

Do you have a picture of the other side of the impeller up through the grate?

Normally with a Sport Jet, the absolute first thing you do is a compression check. I don't care how well you think it runs.

What rpm does it turn?

That think looks like it has passed gravel looking at the condition of that seal.
