Alright gents, a few of you know that i traded mr. brian (boost) my eliminator for his nordic cruiser...kick ass boat!...anyways, after finding out that 6 out of the 8 threads for the droop were bad, had jack @ MPD put new inserts in it last week. then i just went and studded it...now its back all together and RTR. a question i have for you guys is: where the clevis attaches from the steering shaft to the arm, there is that thing(i forgot the name of it) that is a hinge that will lower the steering shaft so i wont have to use those crazy spacers that you see below. how easy is it to install it @ the TA? do i have to pull the big nut and gasket off? the nut wont thread all the way off because of the flat part on the steering shaft so im a little lost here...thanx for the free future help guys.

It's called loosen your steering tube a bit, take that spacer out and gently pull the cable down to meet your steering arm, you already have a swivel installed. Try that and let me know how that works.

k ill try that...not sure about the swivel thing inside the transom...all i saw is just another nut, other side of that giant orange o-ring, and more threading...but ill try it thanx foo...yes ill bring all that.

p.s....you still have my taco surf truckker cap?

The swivel is on the end of your cable, where it connects to the tiller arm. Yes I still have your hat, it's currently keeping my balls warm.

oh! ya the little swivel @ the end...i already tried that...i was scared of breaking something but ill loosen and try it again thanx.

Nice boat Reid the shaft for the cable has two big nuts

if i remember right, back the nut outside the transom all the way out and you should be able to pull the shaft from inside the boat.
