Ride plate adjustment???

I have a 20' BAJA (motor currently out) With a 12JE-A pump/454 Chevy. The boat porpouses badly when I give it any trim at all,-and at all speeds. This is my first Jetboat, so everything is a learning expierience. I noticed that the ride plate was in its all the way up position. I did not put a angle meter on it, but I did adjust it downward about 5/8 inch from where it was. Unfortunatly, the motor is out, so I have no way to test it out at this time. Am I going in the right direction? My boat is very tail heavy, so I would think that what I did should help out at least a little bit.

I would agree with the direction...But baby steps my man, baby steps...I would recommend no more than 1/4" at a time, unless no difference is noticed, then go big.

Yea, I tend to "TAKE A BIG SWING" at things that tend to need a bit of finess. However, the porposing is pretty bad, so if this works "really" good, I can always back it off. Plus, my boat is very tail heavy, and if this dosen't work, I can always put some trim tabs on, but I am hopeing to avoid that.
