Just got some questions. Keep searching and searching but hard to get an exact answer. Or if anyone knows where I can read up on it seems me that way! Lol I have a 77 Nordic jet boat. When I got the boat it was completely disassembled. (Got it in a trade actually) but I'm looking to set my intake in the boat and then set the pump in. Basically trying to find a how to or tips/tricks etc. Also the angle of the dangle and all that. Heard best bet is seagoin putty? Any tips on how to go about all of this would be much appreciated! I'm gonna gather pics and I'll post em up for ya.

Also.... I didn't really get any bolts with this pump. So intake bolts and such are gone. Is there a FULL kit I can get or going to have to piece together? And the pump is not installed just sitting in there as a mock up.

That looks like a berkley R intake. If it is, thats a low profile intake. you are missing the shoe that bolts to the bottom of it as well.
I think its a 7 degree intake, so 7degrees in relation to keel would be fine.
I think tom needs to chine in here, he would know more about that intake.

i have the same boat and just did mine last year, look for my nordic thread, it looks like the transom is already cut so i would set the pump back. if that is an R intake sell it and get a normal one set up for a shoe and ride plate. if you do not do the shoe and ride plate you are wasting your time, mine road so much better with the ride plate, it really helped get it out of the water. i think we set it at 4* it was set in at 3 from the factory.
i cant stress enough, GET THE SHOE AND RIDE PLATE...

I have the shoe and ride plate etc already. Its just not shown in the picture. Its a JR pump according to the plate on top of the pump itself.

Good news. Found all stainless hard wear over the weekend. I was able to use Berkeley site to find out what size bolts etc. So instead of buying a kit for over $100 I got all my hard wear for less than $50. Now just to figure out how to set this intake in.

Looks like an R with the 6 bolt loader setup to me. As was said, replace with a standard or have Jack at MPD modify it to a 4 bolt as he did mine in the past.

X2 i would not use that low pro in that boat.

The intake you have is a 7 degree low profile intake from Berkley. It is smaller and less tall than the normal 4 degree that Berkley makes.
The low profile intake makes the water bend less going into the pump and creates more lift.
The low pros are more for tunnel boats and Gull wings. V bottoms don't need the extra lift from the intake.

Alright now there's a start lol. So what are the pros and cons of installing this on my boat, if there are any pros at all. You all make it sounds like I should toss this intake far away from my boat lol. I shot Greg at GS Marine an email and going back and forth a bit said its a good intake just didn't tell me much more about it. Told me to give him a call which I'll do tomorrow.

Alright, spoke with Greg and he said its possible to use it but just like everyone has said, not practical and would only rob me with my setup. :banghead:

I probably have what you need.
Do you have a delta pad bottom or rounded keel? (way too lazy to look at the whole thread)

Unsure.. lol I have typical JG pump. He said that the intake would work but seeing as I will have a stock motor right off the bat my best bets a regular intake.
