I'm starting to see more and more of the sprints lately which is nice because I've had mine for abt 7 years, and haven't seen any tech talk on them until lately... My question is, how well do the full droops work on these boats? I have a mini droop, and it doesn't do much for drying out the bottom at speed. They are pretty shallow hulls, and everything i try, apart from puting the place diverter ridiculously high, doesn't seem to get it out of the water. I still run pretty good, abt 80 spinning an A abt 5600, I am going to switch to a b to make the motor happy at top end, but I think a droop (at style) will help dry it out more and get some more speed out of it..... Any input from the sprint owners out there?

Thx for the info, ya I know the rounded keel def helps feed the intake, mine is shoed and ride plated, had McClure build me a loader last year that was built for the delta bottom design, so I'm not gunna mess with the bottom. My buddy mike did the work while feeding jack all of the dimensions to build the loader, mike also re shoed it to work better with the whole setup, and he strongly advised an at style droop. He drove it last and said it performed well but needs a full droop. Unfortunately I was never able to get out and drive it after the work was done last summer, so I can't attest to the difference before and after

i know of three sprints that run over a hundred with with the delta bottom. mine runs its best wit no droop and 3 degree of wedge but i like the all around performance with the short droop.ive had mine going on 8 years and thrown everthing at it the problem is they nose over around the 8th mile and ride to wet.with a different shoe and my ride plate angle a tad high i can get mine to run pretty dry but need more hp to keep it up and dry. figured sincetheres only two sprints that i know of that put rounded keels on them with a slight bump before the pump to load the pump more efficant only one has had good results and the other one the guy sold it and bought a tpr stealth before playing with hardware.any boat can run and all like what they like with different set ups but it all comes down to how much money you want to throw at vers just buying a superior hull.most that have run in the tripple digis set the pump back 3 inches and got the trust line parrallel with the bottom of the boat

Someone told me these boats are kinda rare. Yet there are at least 4 of them here on SCJB and i see 2 nice ones for sale on craigslist. lol

Until lately, I haven't seen shit on or abt these things even on the forums, I wore out the gears of Google trying to search for info on them..... That's why I said before I'm glad to see the sprint owners popping up on here, might b able to get some constructive input..... Ill def try to make the avi, or at least make an appearance but first I've got to redo the carbs, they're tired

I don't have much to add other than the fact that, yes they are pretty rare. And yes they are Bitchen boats. I had a sprint spider(balsa floors) bought over the phone two weeks before I purchased my Sanger...... Unfortunately the sprint was nowhere near as advertised and I passed..... I still wish I would have bought the boat, just for the cool factor they have.
