Afternoon all,
Just curious what all would be in involved with changing out my functioning JC to a split bowl JG? Is it literally just changing out the bowl or is there more involved? Looking to do this in the most cost/time effective manner. I’ve heard of some altering their JC to make it a split bowl.
Thanks for any knowledge that can be dropped

The bowls are interchangeable. But a JG has a nozzle adapter. Other than that, it's basically the same.
Jet Boat Performance sells JC bowls converted to JG. You need to call them but they might take your old JC as a "core" if it is in good condition. Or they can convert yours. It's best to give them a call.

So just getting clarification in a yes or no answer? Will a jg bowl fit a jc pump? The Berkeley parts list shows same p/n for the two pump models. Thanks
Story…. I just picked up a jg pump assembly that the guy said it was in good shape but needed a thrust bearing so I didn’t even try to spin it. (My bad) Just an external visual inspection it looked good. From the suction side the impeller looked good as well.
I just removed the bowl and… the impeller is f#*ked up. The housing is trash, i don’t even know where the wear ring is?!! The shaft has been hacked up trying to get the thrust bearing off.
So if I can’t get my money back, I still have a jc pump. Thanks
