Squealing like a little girl

Often but not everytime when I start my boat I get a loud high pitched squeal that sounds like it is coming from my Berkley pump. Anyone have any clues as too what I should be looking for. I don't think I have any U-joints on this boat so it probably isn't that. Help!

i'm no expert but maybe your thrust bearing needs greased ???...........although some say it is normal, mine started making a humming noise at the lake one day, the next weekend out the bearing blew out....it was not good
