You are better off getting an undersized wear ring.
Don't change the distance between the front face of the wear ring surface relative to the front surface of the hub.
I have often thought about hard chroming and grinding that surface, but after all that work, you would be close to the price of a new American Turbine.

In all honesty, and I save some stupid stuff, that's wall art. Really not worth repairing.
When they dig in like that, they get distorted to the point of weakening the infrastructure. Very good chance it will fail.
Just my opinion.

I'm probably the worst.
If I can spend $50 to save $60, there's a good chance I'm your huckleberry. Lol
Trying to get out of the habit, but it's hard.
