Title: Steering going the opposite way I turn
Post by: Boats N Hoes on May 22, 2016, 07:42:09 PM: Took the Hondo jet boat out today at el cap and the steering was turning the opposite way of what I turned. I just installed a teleflex seastar solutions rack cable and pinion . I didn't realize that the setup I have is for starboard side steering. Is there a kit I can buy to switch it? I don't think flipping the rack and helm will do anything. I can't run the cable through the other side of the boat either. This is what I installed. 😓😫😫😫💀🔫

It changes the side the pinion contacts the rack. Reverses the direction.
