Title: steering on a 78 witchcraft panther jet

well been trying to get some in put on the steering befor I pull the motor . is it possiable to install with out pulling the motor . I'm putting a Teleflex rack system . witch it doesn't come apart . it seems to hit on the bell housing I don't have enough leanth to pass though any ideas .

I just did mine it's a 460 with a Berkeley. Was a pain in the ass but I got it done without pulling the motor.

Mine had a big nut srewewd on the hull where the rod goes thru.. when removed it gave me clearance to drop it thru at an angle... clearing bell housing, no motor removal
