1978 Fresno jet, 17'- 6" and I feel it's a fairly light weight hull at that length..... Only have place diverter on it right now. Has 468 CIBBC,990 heads heavy porting with 2.25 int/1.88 and harlin sharp RR, has steel short block assembly... Single 750 holley double pump, jets are 84 square, with power valve out....Dyno and breakin @ 492HP before head work and roller rockers.... Boat has 12JG - A pump, SS loader grate... Place diverter has no degree shims and when up boat has 5-6 ' tail... She take's off like a rocket, and tops off at 72.7mph @ almost 5100... Doesnt feel like its very "wet " at all at top speed... She just dance's on top of that water with no problem....... Feel's like there's plenty of boat out of the water.... I have read several topic's refering to what's better, and I see most people say you really gotta test the droop or straight to see what's best..... Im just looking for opinion's, with what I have stated above. I dont really have any problem's that im aware of, as far as how she run's out of the hole and when she's topped out. I just wanna gain some speed on top ! Does'nt everyone. LOL, any opinion's appreciated... Im considering the HTP snoot, being that I dont feel there's an issue with the boat being "TOO WET" as most state the standard "Droop snoot" will fix... Im over being in the 70 club, and wanna try and get above the 75mph club.... Thank's
