I have a SST with a 12-JF-A the mods are--- pre loader to a B maybe C (6 5/8 small ID) bronze impeller, dominator split bowl with a 4deg. wedge then a Place mini droop finished of with a place diverter w/blue nozzle reducer installed. the impeller to wear ring is .032 after torque of impeler nut. I keep looking at the dom. bowl and wonder if there is a need for and if so can I even install a stuffer plate in this set up? pics will follow.

I wouldn't be playing around with bowl stuffers and/or inducers without first tapping into the pump housing and the bowl for some real pressure readings. You need to have a baseline number before you start really threatening to explode the whole works. The bronze Impy is a good start, I'd be with SS going the route you seem to be going AND knowing this is an SST where the hull is NOT going to slow you down. Your bowl upgrade is another good one on that JE/JF pump, but again, these are mods that need more information to know if they are going to be successful or not. You can toss one in there and maybe gain a few MPH, but when the pump explodes, boat sinks..........you get the idea!

Thanks, the Impeller came with the boat I will most probably end up with SS. pressure readings? is there some tech notes on were/how & what to do with them? all in all it sounds like test and get a base line before I do anything else.
