I have a 79 marantzetter hull with a 454 with a panther jet. Last weekend the pump took a crap... in a horizon boati have a berkely pump. Are the pumps interchangable?
-
nope-whole different animal-can be dont-hit up tom at jet boat performance-he shows a swap on his web site

Any pic's of the horizon, I am resoring mine and if your parting out do you have the name plate on the dash? I would like to have for mine if you got this still and I would give ya a few bucks for it. ;D

The Panther swap is time consuming and theres a lot of "grunt" work but otherwize relatively simple , heres a link to a Page from our site that has a couple sequences Tom

Its not so much the work its the money :o I have an old Maritec pump that is working just fine ( for now ) I just want some trim. any cheep fix for that?
-
Panther made some type of "jet0vator" trim device that fit inside the existing steering deflector and caused some up/down trim It required that they machine you existing parts and ran around $800 also seen folks whack of the back of the stator hsg and weld on a ring to take a Berk nozzle adaptor but scepticle as to how this actually works as the Panther axial flow needs a huge nozzle opening and the Place diverter is around 3 1/8 ish (chokes down the Panther) Tom

Yeah I have looked in to it too, No way around it just got to man up and spend some cash if I want it to work well. Whats the kit cost to convert it or would it be cheeper to just cut it out and do the fiber glass work
