Hey Guys,

Just looking for everyone's thoughts on the place diverter dropp and rideplate kit. I'm considering it for a cheaper alternative to getting my intake machine for a ridplate etc.

Intake doesn't have to come out, thats why I'm thinking about giving it a try. I suppose there isn't a way to tell which droop your boat will respond better to besides guess/checking?

1984 Tahiti. Hardin and Caribbean made the same hull. It is a real solid and heavy boat for what it is. 18ft long

That hull is just gong to ride dirty. Betting there is a 3/8" hook in that badboy.

I think the droop will help a ton. You will need a bit of hp to make it work to gain speed but the droop will free it up.

Well droop is quick an easy if u got money to play with I say go for it first. 

That is with both tanks almost empty and turning about 5,200RPM. A impeller. The boat doesnt porpoise at all but it just gets squirrely sometimes and steers like sh*t and like I said I think it rides too wet, although with my hull it made be hard to correct it riding wet cause of the hull design, it has a deeper V than I originally thought.

It just steers terribly in general. Worst steering jet I've ever owned. I'm thinking about doing a rudder as well. She tops out right at 75MPH Spinning about 5,400-5,500RPM. At 5,200 I think its right at 70-72. I've only had the gps on a few times when I making a pass.

If I had 500 HP Id rip it out and find a different hull to drop it in

I don't think a turn fin will help you at all, try a mini droop. It will bring the nozzle down some but won't stuff it in the water. I had a similar hull and a full drop made it porpoise at cruising speed, only way I could make it stop was dropping the diverter or nailing it and it was never a problem before that. I was gonna go with a mini but never got that far. Sold it before I could try it. So I think a mini would help you lift it some more and help with your turning. Also, any slack in the steering cable or excessive play I'm the rack or anywhere else?

Well if you can get ahold of a used mini droop it's worth a shot before you go and buy a full droop and ride plate
