What brand grease are you using to lubricate the thrust bearing ?

High pressure lithium. Brand and color don't matter according to Jack McClure, but he gave me a tube of Mobilithium when I picked up my pump.

The biggest mistake a person can make is to switch around with different products all Willy Nilly. Many of these products will not mix and can congeal like old hair gel...

Do not use anything with Moly.

I use Amsoil Synthetic waterproof grease but honestly it's overkill. http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/grease/synthetic-water-resistant-grease/ (http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/grease/synthetic-water-resistant-grease/)

Also, don't over grease, this ends up causing the bearing to overheat and is just as bad as not greasing it.

I have heard good things about the Red Line, but have no experience with it. (Been playing with Amsoil for two decades)...

Also, just some stupidness, I grease mine right before use and immediately after, just a shot or two to prevent water entrapment.
