Berk "E" pump
« on: February 13, 2009, 04:31:12 PM »
How do you install a place diverter or jet-o-vator on a "E" pump? i cant see any bolt holes on the pump that would allow you to attach a droop or diverter? with that being said is there a way to change the bowl from a "E" bowl to a bowl with the 8 bolt holes in the back to attach a droop and diverter?

Thanks

E pumps are limited because of the linkage attatchments, they are an odd duck, a lot of the boats with E's I have seen will not benefit from a droop and they come with Jet-O-Vaters.... ;)

I may be wrong, but I believe the E pumps do not come with Jet-O-Vaters. The F pump does, which is I guess the same as an E. You can certainly put a place diverter on an E pump. It does take a different one than the other Berks. The E pump can be converted to split bowl to run a droop, but you will have to replace the nozzle and the cables are a little different too. For most people, probably not cost effective. I know Duane at HTP has converted these, and I am pretty sure Tom at JBP has too. Maybe he can chime in.

You are not wrong, an F is an E with a Jet-O-Vator.. :sly:  I mispoke on "comes with", should have said "can come with"..Spank you for the clarification  ;)

How about some photos of an "E" Pump with a Place Diverter installed?  How about some photos of an "E" Pump with a "G" Bowl installed with and without a Place Diverter?

From what I've heard the "c" and the "e" bowls are nearly identical. You will need the diverter for the "e" pump because the way the cables are ran the "c" diverter will not work.

E and F "insert" pumps have "C" bowls in fact all one piece Berk bowls look the same , theres no difference as for my New "Domy" pic for my eliminator , every since I got my "Puter" back I have to left click then right click to copy from photobucket  used to was i could just left click and copy  :screwy: soooooo, heres your jet Bro !

'tis ok Tom, I found this thread very informational, as I have both the E and C pumps, and they are identical bowls as far as I can tell, just the cable routing and the set-back position on the E seems different. Looks a little less race and a little more docile.

Just an extra click and you're concerned?? I haven't even figured out how to post a pic here yet!! Photobucket must be the answer, gonna try that! Engine install in the Sleekcraft Rebel , E pump, happening on Sunday, will post all the pics of the engine build and install then, hopefully, with luck.  Will be interested in a place diverter for the thing if it doesn't sink!.
