Trying to start the sealing up and can't find the damn thing. I have been told to run without, but it's not there boat LOL

Ya no gasket. Put a generous bead around the surface, bolt it up and wipe the edge all the way around. Worked great for me.

Some tricks.
First, if you plan on removing it again, use vinyl tape on the hull where the silicone will seal to the hull. You can but electrical tape in numerous colors, that's what I use. Just tape off where the sealant will be on the hull.
You can trim the excess with a razor blade. Then just seal it up normally.
Next, rub an ice cube on your finger before smoothing the excess sealant, it won't stick to your finger and come out incredibly smooth.

One other tip for all of you, coming from a guy who takes these off for a living. Someone said use a generous amount....let's rephrase that and say use a "conservative generous amount". It really doesn't take that much silicone to seal a transom cover. A light bead on the transom between the opening in the hull and the bolt holes, and a light bead between the bolt holes on the transom cover is all you need. Your pump guy will thank you the next time it has to be removed and he doesn't have to spend 45 min scraping excess silicone off your hull and TA adaptor.

I use alittle spit if you don't have ice cubes laying around just sayin. Ice cubes are a little more sanitary though haha
